ABOUT MEGS

MY STORY

A Lifetime lover of stories, Megs Levi, is passionate about giving voices to marginalized communities and legs to the creativity of young people.

She likes so many feeder makers has always been in tranced by performance and costumes and light. She would tell you that she became a photographer because of her love for good lighting. But, the deeper reason is that her theater department in college complained that no one had good headshots and, being the entrepreneur that she is, saw that need and filled it. From there, she built a photography business and subsequently got distracted by that business. It wasn't until several years later that her husband asked her over dinner one night what it was she was truly passionate about. She remembered the theater. She applied for jobs the next day and has been working with CYT San Diego ever since. It was the students she worked with truly inspired her to pursue academics, where she hopes to become a highschool and middle school theatre teacher.

Megs’ Grandmother Connie will tell you that from the age of six Megs has been ready to command the attention of a room and usher them into a performance space.

“One holiday (I don’t remember what we were celebrating) Meg, came into the room with all the adults and with the confidence only a rainbow tutu can give you threw her arms out and yelled ‘STOP! This is what we’re gonna do!’

ALL WITH MEGS

“Audiences may experience an epiphany at a play, whether that play is consciously "Christian" or not; God is not limited by our conscious preparation (as artists or audiences). God's Spirit enters our lives in the most surprising of places-even in the theatre.”

Mrs. Megs is someone who I have had the wonderful privilege of working with. She is someone who you look up to, and can be mentored by. I have learned so much from her and I will never forget the skills I have been taught by her. Mrs. Megs is funny, talented, hardworking, and very understanding. I am forever grateful for her.
